71वीं अखिल भारतीय रेलवे बैडमिंटन चैपियनशिप (71st All India Railways Badminton Championship) के पुरुष वर्ग के उद्घाटन मैच में मेजबान पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे ने पूर्व मध्य रेलवे को 3-0 से निर्णायक जीत दिलाई। पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे के आयुष राज गुप्ता ने पूर्व मध्य रेलवे के जिशान अली के खिलाफ पहला पुरुष एकल मैच 21-9, 21-7 के स्कोर से जीता।
दूसरे पुरुष एकल मैच में पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे के राहुल कुमार साहा ने पूर्व मध्य रेलवे के राजेश कुमार को 21-11, 21-9 से हराया। पुरुष युगल मैच का समापन पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे के आयुष राज गुप्ता और सी.बी. त्रिपाठी की जोड़ी द्वारा पूर्व मध्य रेलवे के अनुशील सुंदरम और उज्ज्वल प्रकाश को 21-9, 21-16 से हराने के साथ हुआ।
